Abstract

As the field of communication studies progresses and specializes, the focus seems to shift from the analysis of media content, as was common in the latter half of the past century, to the undeniable presence and impact of media in our lives, their logic, and strategies in shaping the social, economic, educational, and political world (Couldry & Hepp, 2018; Merrill et al., 2020). However, if the studies compiled in this issue of Correspondencias & Análisis demonstrate anything, it is the importance and relevance of analyzing messages and their content, regardless of whether a quantitative or qualitative perspective is chosen.
